Mitsuha Phone Design

The concept interprets in this model is iteration and inspiration; combining two different objects/creatures, trilobite and 00's cell phones, reveals that design can incorporate organic features and futuristic technology.

In this project, I am experimenting a different pathway for my future career, which is speculative design. The main goal of this project is converting a creature into an object, on the other hand, to keep its shape and form. From the structure of the new design, we still can see the contour of trilobite; because of the cell phone's functionality, the arms and legs cannot be input into it. To solve this problem, arms and legs had converted into buttons on the sides. Although the arms and legs have disappeared, the buttons on the sides can replace the visual effects and provide functions to the cell phone.
